Privacy Policy
Your privacy — and the privacy of the students we serve — matters to us. This policy explains what information TechTelligence Technologies collects, why, and the choices and rights you have.
1 Overview & Scope
This policy applies to information we collect when you visit our website, request a demo or consultation, purchase or use our kits and curriculum, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with the Services.
Much of our work is carried out on behalf of schools and educational institutions. Where a school provides us with student information so we can deliver our Services, the school acts as the data controller and TechTelligence acts as a data processor, handling that information only as instructed by the school and as described in our agreement with them.
2 Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact & enquiry details — name, email, phone number, school or institution, and the contents of messages when you contact us, request a demo, or book a consultation.
- Account information — credentials and profile details for educators or administrators who use our platforms.
- Order & transaction details — billing and shipping information when a school or organisation purchases kits or curriculum.
Student information (provided by schools)
- Limited information such as a student's name or class identifier, learning progress, project submissions, and assessment results — provided and controlled by the school to enable classroom use of our Services.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location, browser type, device identifiers, and IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
3 How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve our Services, kits, and curriculum.
- To respond to enquiries, demo and consultation requests, and support tickets.
- To process orders and fulfil deliveries to schools and organisations.
- To personalise learning experiences and measure educational outcomes.
- To send service updates and, where permitted, relevant educational communications.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student data to serve targeted advertising.
4 Children & Student Data
Our Services are designed for use in K‑12 educational settings, including by children. We are committed to protecting the privacy of young learners.
- We collect student information only as needed to deliver educational Services, and only under the direction of the student's school.
- Where required, we rely on the school to provide appropriate notice to, and obtain any necessary consent from, parents or guardians.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children outside of a school-authorised context.
- Student data is never sold, and is not used to build advertising profiles.
Parents and guardians: to review, correct, or request deletion of your child's information, please contact your child's school, which controls that data. We will support schools in fulfilling such requests.
5 Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection laws — including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, where relevant, the EU/UK GDPR — require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Contract — to deliver Services you or your institution have requested.
- Consent — where you have agreed to a specific use, such as certain communications.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our Services, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
6 How We Share Information
We share personal information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted vendors who host, deliver, or support our Services under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Schools & institutions — we return student data and reporting to the school that controls it.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
7 Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
8 Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the Services, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Student data is retained according to our agreement with the relevant school and deleted or returned when no longer required.
9 Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard the data entrusted to us.
10 International Transfers
We operate across the MENA region and Africa and may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
11 Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. If your request concerns student data, we will coordinate with the relevant school. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
12 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
